THERAPY

This is where I come in and we work together! I will take the time to get to know you and hold space for YOUR story. I will meet you where you are that day, and every session will work with you to take action. I will give it to you straight, there will be laughter, tears, and above all growth. I use a mixed modality approach to counseling. One size does not fit all and your journey with me will be tailored specifically for YOU and your needs as an individual or as a couple. Our therapeutic relationship is the key component to making this work and I will show up every day ready to listen and work with you.

Please see below to view some of the multiple techniques, and brief summary of each, that I use to assist my client population.

  • EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference.

  • ACT

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is a psychotherapy technique that promotes accepting negative thoughts, feelings, and events. It encourages a person to mindfully participate in activities that uphold their core beliefs and values.

  • CBT

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps people learn how to identify and change the destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on their behavior and emotions.

  • PSYCHODYNAMIC

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on unconscious processes as they are manifested in the client's present behavior. The goals of psychodynamic therapy are client self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on present behavior.
